Just 6 months ago I made the biggest decision of my life, to set up my very own recruitment business. This decision was based on that guilty feeling I felt every day. Guilty for working so hard, not putting my own children to bed at night and guilty that I wasn’t spending quality time with them at such a young age. Surely, I could get the best of both worlds? Working for myself meant I could be a successful businesswoman whilst also being a great mum to my boys. Win Win! 

6 months on and I cannot believe how far we have come. The success we have had is truly overwhelming. I was always passionate about us being much more than just another recruitment agency who did everything the same as everybody else. For me the aim has always been to be the best at what we do and to truly differentiate ourselves from the rest of the industry.

We now have an experienced and passionate team in place who care as much as me about what we do and how we do it. We have beautiful offices in Chester City Centre and are working with clients all across the North West, although the video software now gives us the ability to recruit nationwide. We have a real USP in the video software we use for passive candidate sourcing and video recruitment selection, offering a service that is revolutionary in recruitment saving our clients time and money in order to source the best candidates for their business. And, we are starting to form some real strategic alliances to explore new sectors and maximise gaps in the market. The first of which being the partnership between ourselves and Andy Cain. We are privileged to be working with Andy offering a recruitment and training proposition to the recruitment industry. Again, setting ourselves apart from the rest of the market.

So, what’s to come over the next 6 months? We will continue to find new and innovative ways of attracting and securing great talent for our clients. We will continue to form real partnerships with the clients we work with to ultimately become the recruitment arm of their business adding real value to their long-term recruitment strategy. The Chrysalis brand will continue to evolve and formulate more strategic alliances and partners as we become much more than just a recruitment business. 

It’s truly overwhelming how far we have come but it goes to show that you can do anything you put your mind too when it’s something you’re passionate about. The original business plan has been torn up and rewritten as we embark on the next phase of our journey.   I have an amazing team, great connections and some wonderful clients and candidates who have made this journey much more than I had ever anticipated.
